For overseas head offices

A Local IT Infrastructure & Technology Partner in Sri Lanka

If the buyer is overseas and the site is in Sri Lanka, someone local has to survey it, install it, test it and support it. That is the role TKWIT fills.

Most of our international enquiries follow the same pattern: a decision is taken abroad, a site or office in Sri Lanka has to be operational by a date, and the head office needs a local technical team that can be trusted with the survey, the scope, the installation and the years of support that follow.

TKWIT is a Colombo-based technology, security and infrastructure company. We do not have offices outside Sri Lanka and we do not claim to — the value we offer an overseas buyer is competent local execution, written and reported in English, with one accountable point of contact.

We can take the whole technology scope, or a defined part of it, and we can slot into a project already being coordinated by your landlord, fit-out contractor or head-office IT team.

When an overseas head office needs a local technical team

A new office, branch, plant, warehouse or operations floor in Sri Lanka; an existing site being expanded or relocated; or an installed base that is unsupported because whoever installed it is no longer involved.

In each case the practical problem is the same: work that cannot be done remotely, and a head office that needs to stay informed without flying in for every step.

Remote scoping before decision-makers arrive

Send us the address or building, any floor plans, drawings or photographs you have, the headcount per area and the systems you need. We can produce an initial scope and indicative budget from that before anyone travels.

This is usually enough for a head office to plan the project and set a realistic date, and it is refined once we survey the site.

Site survey and validation against drawings

Drawings and reality differ. We walk the site, confirm cable routes, riser access, ceiling and floor conditions, comms-room space, power and any existing infrastructure, and tell you where the drawing-based assumptions need to change.

The survey output is a written scope and equipment schedule you can price, compare and approve.

Working to head-office IT, network and security standards

Many international organisations have their own cabling categories, hardware preferences, network segmentation rules, camera retention expectations or access-control conventions. Send them to us and we implement to those standards, or tell you plainly where a local constraint makes something impractical.

Where you specify vendors or models, we quote to them. Where you leave it open, we recommend based on the site.

Network cabling, switching, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, IP PABX and connectivity

One team covers the whole technology layer: Cat6/Cat6A and fibre cabling, comms room and racks, switching, enterprise Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control and IP PABX telephony.

TKWIT is not a telecommunications carrier. Internet access and leased lines are coordinated through established Sri Lankan network operators, and we handle the technical side of delivery into your tenancy.

Coordination with fit-out contractors and building management

In managed commercial buildings the constraints are building-management approval for works, agreed access hours, defined riser and containment routes, and restrictions on drilling and finished surfaces.

We plan the installation around those constraints and coordinate directly with the contractors on site so the fit-out programme is not held up.

Commissioning, testing and handover records

Systems are commissioned and tested before handover: cabling links tested and labelled, network and Wi-Fi verified in use, cameras and door hardware checked, telephony call-tested.

You receive the handover pack — equipment list, labelling, test results and as-built records — so the head office has a documented record of what exists on site.

Maintenance, moves, adds and changes after go-live

Offices change. Desks move, headcount grows, cameras get added, a switch fails. We support the site after handover with maintenance visits and change work, so you are not looking for a new contractor each time.

One local point of contact

You deal with one team in Colombo, reachable on WhatsApp, Telegram, phone or email, in English, across cabling, network, wireless, security and telephony — instead of separate suppliers who each blame the others.

Questions we are asked

Frequently asked questions

Can TKWIT work with a head office outside Sri Lanka?
Yes. Most of our international projects are instructed from abroad. We scope, quote, install and report in English, and coordinate with whoever is managing the project locally.
Do you provide internet or leased lines directly?
No — TKWIT is not a telecommunications carrier. We can coordinate suitable dedicated internet or leased-line services through established Sri Lankan network operators and handle the technical delivery into your office.
What do you need to prepare an initial quotation?
The building or address, any floor plan or drawings, the headcount per area, the systems required and your target date. If your head office has technical standards, send those too.
