Cabling is the part of a network nobody looks at until something intermittent starts happening. We install and repair data cabling so it is neat, labelled, tested and easy to work on later.

Data point installation
New outlets at desks, counters, machines, cameras, access points and equipment positions, terminated and tested rather than simply pulled through.
Cable routes and containment
Trunking, conduit, tray and cable basket installed so runs are protected, separated from power where they should be, and not draped over ceilings.
Copper and fibre runs
Copper for floor and workspace distribution, fibre where distance, electrical noise or building separation calls for it — including between blocks and floors.
Rack, patch panel and switch termination
Cables brought back to patch panels in a tidy rack, patched into switches with a layout that can be traced by whoever comes next.
Upgrades and replacements
Replacing aged or damaged cabling, lifting an installation to a higher category where the equipment justifies it, and removing abandoned cable.
Troubleshooting
Tracing intermittent points, damaged runs, bad terminations and mislabelled patching — the faults that get blamed on the internet for months.
Labelling and records
Both ends labelled consistently, with a record of what runs where, so future changes take minutes rather than a morning of guessing.

Planning & design
What we work out before quoting
These are the decisions that determine whether the finished system is useful or merely installed.
- Count points, then add for change
- Desks move and equipment gets added. Providing a sensible margin of extra points during installation costs far less than returning for one outlet.
- Distance decides the medium
- Copper runs have practical length limits. Long site runs, links between buildings and electrically noisy routes point to fibre.
- Where does the rack live?
- Rack position drives every cable length on site. It needs ventilation, power, physical security and enough room to work in.
- Power over Ethernet loads
- Cameras, access points and phones drawn from switch power change switch and cable choices, so PoE is planned rather than discovered.
- Working in an occupied building
- Routes, working hours and dust control are agreed in advance so cabling work does not stop your operation.
- Cabling and Wi-Fi go together
- Wireless coverage depends on where cabling can reach. Planning both at once avoids access points landing in the wrong places.

Frequently asked
- What is the difference between network cabling and structured cabling?
- Network cabling is the practical work of installing and repairing data runs and points. Structured cabling is the designed, documented system behind it — a planned layout with defined distribution, patching and records. Small jobs need the first; whole floors and buildings benefit from the second.
- Can you add cabling without disrupting our work?
- Usually yes. We agree routes and working times in advance, and much of the containment and pulling work can be done around your operation.
- Do you test what you install?
- Yes. Every point is tested and corrected before handover, and the installation is labelled so faults can be located later.
- Our network keeps dropping. Is that the cabling?
- Sometimes. Bad terminations, damaged runs and over-length cables produce exactly the intermittent behaviour usually blamed on the internet connection. We test to establish where the fault actually is.
